“We translate everything whether physical, mental, or spiritual into muscular tension.”

F. Matthais Alexander, 1869-1955

The Alexander Technique is an elegant mind/body system that heightens awareness through the gentle touch of a “teacher.” It helps release held tension, while encouraging the body awareness and choice, presenting a new way of using yourself at rest or in any movement. Skills such as sports, playing a musical instrument, dance, working at a computer are enhanced.

The Alexander Technique is particularly helpful for people recovering from an injury, or chronic pain. It improves posture and encourages grace and ease in any activity.

Benefits

The Alexander Technique is primarily taught in private sessions, for either one hour or a half hour.
